Souq Waqif Boutique Hotels by Tivoli

We selected this hotel as part of Qatar Airways stopover offer for a couple of nights. We got a taxi from the airport to the hotel (45QR) which was easier than a bus but later found the metro was very easy. More on that in a bit. The Al Arumail Boutique Hotel is part of a collection of hotels in the Souk Waqif area. We were greeted on arrival with coffee and dates and staff were helpful and friendly. Our room was large and very nice. Some noise from the Souk, that closed about 11pm, and the call to prayer was quite loud, and at around 4.45am. Breakfast is a short walk away (or golf cart), in another hotel as part of the complex. We found it had a very good selection of local and international choices. The hotel is in a fabulous location. On the doorstep to so many things as well as all the delights of the Souk. Try and see the bird market, the camel parade (8am and 4pm), and the falcons. Souq Waqif Boutique Hotel: A Doha Gem Perfectly located in the heart of Souq Waqif, this hotel offers an exceptional experience. We arrived in the middle of the night, the friendly staff provided us outstanding service, and the rooms are wonderfully comfortable. The location is unbeatable for exploring Doha's cultural heart. Highly recommended for a memorable stay.

I had a great experience at the hotel this time. Overall, the service was excellent, with attentive staff and great facilities. I especially want to highlight Aman, the bellboy, who was incredibly friendly and helpful. Even though it’s my second time here, he remembered me and made me feel right at home with his warm and caring attitude. He’s definitely a standout and a big plus for the hotel!

The rooms are spacious and well-equipped, providing a cozy retreat after a day of exploring. While there is some noticeable wear and tear, particularly in the carpets and some of the older fittings in the bathrooms, these are minor compared to the overall charm and cleanliness of the hotel. The impressive design and prime location significantly outweigh these aspects, ensuring that the stay is memorable and very enjoyable.

A bit late but I stayed at the hotels in September for a 3 day transit. I had requested an early check in but that wasn’t communicated to the staff so it took a couple of hours to check in from arriving to the hotel. The room was really clean and comfortable, and the buildings overall had a nice balance of tradition and modernity. Having the golf buggies was a big plus, big thanks to Ansar for being very helpful and kind. Living within the Souq was a nice experience and the hotel is a close walk to the museum of Islamic arts.
