Mi Lugar Maldives

The place is immersed in the rich vegetation of Maldives. An absolute delight to nature lovers. Amazing food and delightful staff, strongly recommended for your holiday stay.

Pros: The amount of food is just incredible. There is too much of everything, Although it becomes a bit boring, as the chef is cooking the same food all the time. But he's just working with what is available. And he's doing his best! The food was always very tasty and in a rainy day, we even got a cooking lesson, to learn how to make all the different curry meals. The whole team works perfectly, to make your stay as pleasant as possible. Special thanks to Danushka, the manager, Agit - the chef, Reyna the best waitress ever. She is such a lovely person! Always ready to help! Mazhut, the fisher man. With this crew you don't feel as a guest. You feel being their friend. It's emotional to leave. Definitely worth to visit. And yes, there is wifi in the rooms. Cons: Mosquitos are quite annoying, but it's not the fault of the staff. Just be sure you have a repelent with you and bring repelent tablets and device to use in your room. The beach is unfortunatelly full of litter. Again, not the fault of the staff, but it would be great if staff would come and clean it every now and then. Because the rooms are situated in the forest, some wooden parts (roof of the shower) are falling apart. It's not making your stay any worse, but it feels that a touch up is necessary.

The establishment was poorly managed and lacked organization. Several guests from Italy were rude and disruptive, which significantly affected the experience. However, I must acknowledge one Nepali staff member who was exceptionally hardworking and dedicated, despite being visibly overburdened. Unfortunately, the overall service was highly disappointing. Additionally, the pictures uploaded on Google are highly misleading and do not reflect the reality of the place upon arrival. Unless significant improvements are made, I cannot recommend this place

Update September 2024: The food is now terrible, and the service is unsatisfactory. The guest house, including the rooms, kitchen, and beach, was unkempt. I am disappointed. Previously (April 2024): Had a delightful experience. I was surprised at how good the food was. The room was also amazing. Thank you so much for the wonderful service. It is a budget-friendly resort on an inhabited Maldivian island.

The food previously was so good, It was disappointing as our first visit was very nice but now the place has degraded,maybe as very less people visit there. But the food was less than average, the room was dirty and even the beach was very dirty.
