Hotel Edison

Absolutely amazing location. Lovely staff. Added security at the lifts which felt safe. Always similar staff on the lifts so they knew the craic and familiar faces so was great to see. House keeping every day. Amazing food in restaurants. Friedmans had staff singing every night from 5pm - 8pm I think? They were amazing. Like 2 mins walk from Times Square (black out blinds) 8-10 mins walk to Rockefeller Centre / St. Patrick's Cathedral. Pizza gaff right nearby, convenience store and the best Irish bar (The Mean Fiddler) We travelled with 2 kids and the room sizes was very spacious for NY. Hop on / hop off bus 1 min walk from hotel. Will 100% be back. Thank you.

Great stay at Hotel Edison! Marcos took great care of us at check-in. Super nice! Perfect location for going to see the Rockettes and all the midtown fun! Time Square is around the corner. Subway just a short walk. The hotel is beautiful! I love the art deco decor! Great security at the door. The room had everything we needed with an updated bathroom. Yes, it’s on the smaller size, but we only slept there. Most NYC hotel rooms are small. Convenient water bottle filling station in the hallway. We had vouchers for breakfast down the street at Carve with several good choices. Zero complaints. I would definitely stay here again.

Always a great experience when staying at the EDISON! The staff is so welcoming from the minute you walk into the lobby! Even the elevator music is great! The rooms are very quiet, so you have a great night sleep. The bed is very comfortable, and love the personalized note they leave you along with some snacks. Nice touch! It's the little things that show they care! The location is great, and love the convenience of having Starbucks down the block as well as a great pizza place. There's Friedmans deli in the lobby along with a great happening piano bar the Rum House! I'll definitely be back on my next trip to NY!

I recently spent four nights at the Hotel Edison in Times Square, and the experience was everything you hope for when staying right in the pulse of New York City. From the moment I stepped inside, the hotel’s classic Art Deco charm set the tone — stylish, welcoming, and full of character. The location simply can’t be beat. Step outside and you’re instantly surrounded by the energy of Times Square — the lights, the theaters, the endless excitement. Yet inside, the hotel feels surprisingly calm and comfortable, offering a cozy retreat from the city buzz. My room was clean, well-kept, and thoughtfully laid out, with a bed that made it easy to rest after long days of exploring. Housekeeping was consistently attentive, and every staff member I encountered was friendly, professional, and eager to help. Whether it was recommendations, directions, or small requests, they handled everything with genuine warmth. The hotel’s amenities were a lovely bonus too — convenient dining options, the lobby, with its gleaming vintage touches, felt like a little slice of old New York glamour. Overall, Hotel Edison offered a perfect balance of comfort, convenience, and classic NYC charm. It’s an ideal home base for anyone wanting to be steps away from Broadway, great restaurants, and all the best Midtown has to offer.

When we arrived we were greeted by a very nice gentleman and a lovely receptionist helped check us in. Once we got to our room we heard alot of banging on what sounded like banging on plumbing pipes, since it was coming from within the bathroom. We thought it was just someone working in the next room. Rooms are small and bathroom is very small. I was also very disappointed we didn’t have a mini fridge. They did provide bottled water whenever we needed more, that was a plus. When we arrived back at the hotel around 10pm we heard the banging again and called back down to the receptionist. We were informed it’s the heating pipes and the only thing they could do is offer us earplugs. We already had earplugs so I declined. The EARPLUGS DID NOT HELP. I have never in my life paid so much to stay at a place that I can’t even rest due to the banging of the heating pipes. We will never stay here again as I have had much better experiences with other NYC Time Square hotels that I could actually rest at for cheaper and buffet breakfast. The grab and go breakfast was actually very good, just wish they had more options as eating the same thing every day was getting old.
