Fuvahmulah Central Hotel

The staff is very kind and efficient, the room is spacious, clean, and comfortable, with an excellent hot shower. I especially loved how comfy the bed and pillows were, it gave me an amazing rest during my 4-night stay. Highly recommended!

Great place to stay when visiting Fuvahmulah. The staff is amazing and will help you with all your needs. They can organize everything, from day trips around the island to diving with Tiger Sharks. The rooms are clean and comfortable and exactly what you need after a day of exploring the island, above and below the surface. Definitely ask them for snorkeling and diving tours - they got a great team which will make sure that you will have a memorable time.

We stayed for 7 nights at the Central Hotel. It is a brand-new place which offers anything that you need to feel comfortable! The staff is very friendly and helps you at any time if you need something. I pretty much enjoyed the interior, especially, the huge bathrooms! If you are planning to dive at Fuvahmulah you should directly go with the companie's dive shop 'Fuvamulah Central Dive', with which we made a superior experience in terms of joy and safety. The super friendly owner, mister Hassan, personally grabbed and dropped us from/at the airport, although the flights were during nighttime. A great experience, I would love to come again :)

We had a great 2 weeks at the Viluxer retreat. Since the hotel had just reopened, we received a free upgrade. The people were all very friendly and we were constantly asked if everything was ok. The rooms were clean and up to standard. We liked it very much. Thank you also for the exclusive candlelight dinner. It was an unforgettable diving holiday for us!

The hotel seems to be quite old, and unfortunately, the rooms reflect that. There was a noticeable smell of old furniture inside our room. At first, I didn’t understand why they placed essential oils and candles in the room, but once the effects wore off, I realized the room itself didn’t smell very fresh. Additionally, I’m not sure what the standard is for lighting, but our room was very dark, as the main light was missing. It made the space feel less comfortable, especially in the evening. The TV and fridge in our room were also broken. The most frustrating part was when we asked for help with the fridge. Instead of offering to move us to another room or scheduling a convenient time, they started fixing it while we were in the room. This happened after lunch when we wanted to rest, but the maintenance workers arrived and began the repairs. We asked if we could move to another room, but the one they offered was significantly smaller, so they eventually brought us a fridge from another room instead. Another issue was that the reception was often unattended. On a couple of occasions, I overheard other guests calling for assistance with no response. Additionally, we weren’t informed about the code to enter the hotel yard. On our first morning, after breakfast, we found ourselves waiting for someone to let us back in. While I appreciate the effort made to address some of the issues during my stay, I must respectfully disagree with your version of events. Firstly, although the fridge was replaced relatively quickly, the timing was quite inconvenient, as it disrupted our rest. It would have been more considerate to either fix the issue at a more convenient time or offer a room of the same standard. Regarding the lighting, I can confirm that our room was much darker than expected, and whether or not the lights were functioning, the overall illumination was insufficient to make the space feel comfortable. Additionally, while I understand that most guests may enjoy the use of essential oils, I believe it’s important to acknowledge that the strong presence of these fragrances seemed to be masking an underlying issue with the room’s freshness. Once the effects wore off, the room’s actual condition became more noticeable. Finally, with regard to the main entrance, I’m simply recounting our personal experience where we were left waiting, unaware of any access procedures. I hope this feedback helps improve the guest experience for future visitors.
