At Fusions in the Gulf Hotel, the presentation and atmosphere of the restaurant presents itself as "an opulence of fine dining with nostalgic Arabian home cooking." The seasonal menu changes frequently, but signature dishes in the repertoire include items such as the "Ghoozi Tacos". The culinary approach here is taking comfort foods that are normally standalone such as ghoozi (lamb over a giant plate of rice) or Bahraini tikka (lemon marinated meat chunks in a skewer grilled over charcoal) and repackaging them into a completely different format, while retaining the exact same taste that comes with the traditional comfort food dish. A good playbook is to make reservations for dinner and then arrive an hour early where you can walk up to the terrace bar and enjoy pre-dinner drinks while overlooking the beautiful Al Fateh Grand Mosque. Once the reservation time hits, head down to the dining area. If you don't finish your drinks, they'll bring it down for you. There is a smart casual dress code policy. Note: It is no longer Fusions by Tala. Last month, Award Winning Bahraini chef Tala Bashmi announced her departure from the restaurant where she brought her vision of Bahraini cuisine to life. As such, the super popular tasting menu is no longer available. Aromas of bold cherry and fresh red berries are underpinned by savory notes and spicy oak. On the palate, dark fruit flavors flow into a smooth palate, delivering a long finish with fine tannins and juicy acidity.

Fusion by Tala …. You would understand the name once your taste buds start wondering which taste hit them first …. Tala has artistically succeeded in FUSING flavours to create a fine dining experience you won’t forget… A very humble top notch local chef you won’t find elsewhere. The food was great , the service was too and the ambience … go and see for yourself. One of the strange things I witnessed is that the restaurant management limit the maximum number of customers to ensure that service quality is maintained. Well done!!!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Fusions by Tala, and it was nothing short of exceptional. It became one of my favorite restaurants in Bahrain whenever I get the chance to go there I’ll definitely make sure to go back to the restaurant , the staff took care of every single detail and I enjoyed the story behind each dish they served .

Very nice experience in Bahrain to taste the twist of food in such great mix of ingredients prepared by the Master Chef Tala her self. We had the pleasure to taste all these in such amazing atmosphere with the great and professional hosts and waiters who served us in the best professional smiles,and had the pleasure for Tala to come and checking on our experience personally by her self. The food was amazing specially having what we used to have but in a totally different way, making this experience amazing to engage all ur senses and memories in one bite.
