FULLMOON CANGGU Nelayan

Absolutely blown away by Fullmoon! It is ideally located within walking distance to many restaurants and shops as well as the beach. The rooms are spacious and clean with en-suite bathrooms that get cleaned daily. Together with the pristine pool, the villa is a great oasis to rest and recover. The staff is very friendly and very helpful. They take special care to keep the whole property in excellent shape. I would like to give Kadek a special mention for his amazing service. Thank you Fullmoon for making our first trip to Bali unforgettable!

The location is good and the staff is friendly. Overall, it’s quite clean, but the doors don’t close properly, which isn’t ideal. It’s a pity the pool doesn’t get any sun, but I might come back. It’s very quiet, no noise, the air conditioning works well, and it’s a good place to rest!

I’m really sorry to leave this review, but in my honest opinion, does the price not live up to its expectations. When I arrived, I saw that in my bedding were some ambiguous blood spots and holes. Luckily, the staff replaced it immediately after when I reported it, but I think this was a sign about the cleanness of the room. I had to close all my bags and keep my clothes in my bag because otherwise there would be ants in them. Also when I was laying in bed, I found several ants creeping up in my bed. Also, there’s a lot of construction going on. And I think also parties, because the music was quite loud outside. It’s very noisey. The bathroom was terrible. The water pressure is not existent and you either get super cold or boiling hot water. And when you shower, the toilet gets all wet. The tiles and showerhead were full of calcification. The location however, is amazing. Nelayan street is an amazing street with everything your heart will desire during your stay in Canggu, and the hotel is literally next to it. There’s airconditioning, and the staff cleans your room everyday with new towels, but these also smell a bit off.

Good location, they’re friendly, that’s about it. Another reviewer mentions this but the sliding doors don’t seal, wish I understood the consequences. 50+ mosquitoes floating around the room biting me occasionally all night, neighbor who decided to smoke a cigarette right outside and the smoke comes right in the unsealed door gap as well. And the beds are very firm, shallow mattress. The bathrooms get extremely hot due to the sun window. Awful, I paid to stay for 3 nights and could barely manage the one.

On arrival after an international flight with a booking.com confirmed reservation for a week I was told they had overbooked and that I needed to stay somewhere else. After 30 mins they agreed to provide a basic smelly room for free until I moved on in the morning. I have since not been able to get my money refunded from Fullmoon Canggu or Booking.com despite booking and paying for a second accommodation with Booking.com. Piss poor experience and customer service - I am sharing this to make others aware of potential problems. X
