I had a wonderful stay at Barceló in Malé. The staff were absolutely amazing — a special mention goes to Nazar, whose attentiveness and professionalism made my experience even more memorable. The hotel itself feels fresh and modern, with new facilities and very comfortable rooms that made for a relaxing stay. I especially enjoyed the spacious balcony with its beautiful view — a perfect spot to unwind. The dining experience was also good, with the buffet offering a nice variety of dishes to choose from. Overall, it was a smooth and delightful stay, and I would definitely stay there again.

Had a short stay before my flight and really enjoyed it! The restaurant was a pleasant— great food, friendly staffs, and a relaxing atmosphere. Perfect way to end my trip before heading to the airport. Special Thanks to Nazar for recommending, really worth it. Would definitely come back if I’m in Male again!

This review is regarding the "Wellness" spa on the 3rd floor of the hotel. The spa is relatively new so the room is spotless. I had an amazing experience thanks to: Listya: masseuse extraordinaire who seems to feel exactly what my body needs! I'm rejuvenated after her treatment. Sita: the kind and helpful receptionist who recommended me the appropriate deep tissue massage which was exactly what I needed after a week of snorkeling and divings. Highly recommended for weary travelers in need of energy boost.

Terrible. The rooms are not soundproof. I could hear everything from the room next to me so clearly. From conversations to TV, even the sound of running water from the sink and shower, you will hear it like it's coming from your room. On top of that, there is construction going on nearby, so you'll hear that as well. What made it even worse was the service. Called reception to change my room, and they told me they'll get back to me. They didn't, so I called them again. They said they'll send someone up to check on the issue. Never heard back from them again. So I had to go down to reception myself, and it turns out they were not even working out the issue. As for the room change? They convinced me all rooms are the same. So why promise something and keep someone waiting without ANY effort or communication? Here is a video with the sound of the TV and running water from the room next door. I hope the staff are aware it's a problem in this hotel. Because they looked at me like I was making all this up.
