I've been to Paradise three times now, and each visit has been nothing short of exceptional. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with warm, professional service that instantly makes you feel welcome. The food is truly outstanding – every dish bursts with flavor and clearly showcases authentic, high-quality ingredients. You can taste the care and craftsmanship in every bite. The wine pairings are spot-on, thoughtfully curated to complement the menu beautifully. A special mention goes to the head chef, who personally delivered several of our dishes – a rare and appreciated touch that reflects the passion behind the food. It's this level of attention and pride that sets the experience apart. Highly, highly recommend. We recently checked out Paradise in Soho, lured in by their 7-course Sri Lankan tasting menu. Each dish was a little work of art, bursting with flavour and clearly made from fresh and pure ingredients. Everything was beautifully presented – the kind of plates you want to photograph before devouring (and we did, shamelessly). The flavours were bold, creative, and packed the right amount of spice. You could tell this wasn’t just food; it was a story, a journey offering a taste of unfamiliar ingredients through innovation. But – and there’s always a but – be warned: the portion sizes are on the... minimalist side. Let’s just say if you show up with an appetite, you may leave wanting a tad bit more. Also, couples beware: the seating is a bit tight. Interior-wise, it felt minimalist as well, though perhaps that’s deliberate, so all the colour and personality comes from the food. And one more heads-up: their cancellation policy is no joke. Forgetting to show up will cost the same as your actual dinner. Make sure you’re there. All in all, Paradise is a place for adventurous food lovers who appreciate culinary finesse. Just maybe grab a sandwich first.

I visited Paradise London with my family for my birthday, excited by the buzz and eager to experience authentic Sri Lankan flavours in a fine dining setting. The concept is brilliant — a beautifully curated space with excellent service, a strong sense of novelty, and undeniable quality in the ingredients. However, while I appreciated much of the menu, there’s one thing I simply can’t get behind: serving a quarter croissant and calling it a Kimbula Banis, and presenting a cuttlefish curry/soup and calling it Kottu. Kottu is arguably the most iconic Sri Lankan street food — bold, chaotic, sizzling, and unmistakable. What was served bore no resemblance to it in taste, form, or spirit. Even in a fine dining context, I believe there should be a thread of authenticity in how dishes are represented. That said, many elements were genuinely enjoyable — the milk rice, hoppers, kiri hodi, desserts, and especially the tea were all beautifully done. But call me French… a Kottu is a Kottu.

Had high expectations of Sri Lankan, Mexican fusion by the residence of MIRIS Y MAÍZ. My friend's two favourite cuisines. The taco fillings were tiny, 1 prawn in a taco, the flavours bland, and crazy pricing for what you're getting. But what was really annoying is that as soon as you lifted the taco up from your plate the waiting staff would remove the plate, so you were left holding a taco in your hand. Twice we had to ask them to stop as we still had the sauce with the taco we were eating. Unfortunately our first and last time here

Went to Paradise with very high expectations after seeing a YouTube sent by a friend. We’ve had the eight course tasting menu. Russum was very tasty and set the scene very well. Then we’ve got the rolls and Kimbula Banis. Though potion sizes were tiny they tested good. Saying that Kimbula banis was nothing like the one in Sri Lankan Kimbula banis. So not sure why they call it Kimbula banis. Didn’t make much sense. Paan was a tasty “Vade”. Then we’ve got Kiri Hodi, with a hopper. My wife actually asked them how they managed to get the hopper that small. It was again delicious. Then we’ve got Kottu.. both of us were utterly disappointed. It was just a cuttlefish curry. Not sure why on earth they call it Kottu. At this point I was bit worried as both of us were still very hungry and only one more main to go. But you should be good with a mas and kiri bath right. Though they were delicious once again mas was tiny. Only acceptable sized dish we received was the kiri bath. Everything else was way too small. Dessert was delicious. But after this eight course meal two of us were still hungry. To the point we had chicken wings and chips to fill us up on our way home. So when asked why the potion sizes are so small the answer was otherwise customers would struggle to finish their meals. That sounded like a very convenient excuse. I thought it’s just me, but my colleague went with his girl friend and he said they left the restaurant hungry as well. So I would rather Paradies change but extra and increase the potion size. So for this reason I would not recommend Paradise to anyone else.
