Set in a grand, former 18th-century concert hall on Great Marlborough Street, Sucre brings the bold spirit of Buenos Aires to London. Helmed by celebrated Argentinian chef Fernando Trocca, the restaurant is known for its open-fire cooking, combining Latin American flavours with Mediterranean influences in an elevated, sharing-style format.
The dramatic interior—designed by Noriyoshi Muramatsu—features soaring ceilings, exposed brick walls, and glittering chandeliers made from over 1,000 cut-glass decanters, all centered around a glowing wood-fired grill in an open kitchen. The menu showcases vibrant dishes like octopus with chimichurri, cheese empanadas, black fideuà, and fire-roasted meats, emphasizing warmth, texture, and smoke.
Below the restaurant, Abajo (also called Alma) is a seductive basement cocktail bar from world-renowned mixologist Renato “Tato” Giovannoni, channeling 1980s Buenos Aires with moody lighting, curated cocktails, and live DJs.
Whether you’re after a lively night out or an immersive fine-dining experience, Sucre delivers rich flavours, dramatic design, and Latin soul in every detail.
