The Best Place to Stay in Bank Area *High Points: the grandiose lobby, the location next to Exchange, the nearby shops for F&B; Elemis products to use; the uber comfortable bed and pillows made the stay completely worthwhile; the rain shower; *Low Points: waiting until 1800 to get my room when a call NEVER came as promised to tell me it was ready; the front desk boasts of the "mini bar is included" but there were just 2 beers and 1 coca cola inside; no Marriott standard slippers, the heated towel rack didn't work in bathroom; the Twinnings tea (most Marriotts have risen above this brand by now); note that on Sundays this surrounding Bank area is DEAD; the tea kettle wired and permanently placed inside a very low cabinet that becomes dangerously hot when making tea, facing the toilet *Unique Points: room #321 completely to itself with its own lift access, windows on both sides of the room plus bathroom; the welcome prosecco!~

We were here for our anniversary and we couldn’t have been more pleased!!! The service was simply exceptional. From the minute we arrived, Sourabh, ensured our stay was perfect and forever a fond memory. We couldn’t recommend the hotel more.

Solid 5-star hotel with attentive staff and fine accoutrements. Turn down service with chocolates, tea and coffee in room accompanied by snacks, and luxury bath. Shower was tiny, but effective. Near Bank station and short walk to river and Tower.

I am very surprised with all the positive reviews. I travel to london frequently and have pretty much tried all marriott properties and this has to be the worst one. Location is great but rooms are awful and run down. The toilet seats are painted with white paint which started coming off and got on our skin from the humidity in showers since there is no ventilation in bathroom. Who paints toilet seats!!! No plug points to be found except behind a panel on your desk. If you need to iron any clothes, charge phones, use hairdryer, all that had to be done at those 2 plug points by desk. Made no sense. Sheets smelled moldy. Dark dingy room and this was after complaining as initially, even after using suite night certificates that hotel confirmed we were upgraded to suites, at check in were told that suite had an issue so now we are in executive room. That executive room was in basement, outside your window there are about a 100 loud/drunk people as there is a bar there and hotel front desk staff told us with a straight face, don’t worry, post 12:30am, it should quiet down. So they know guests are coming from a 7-8 hour flight as were notified, they know they screwed up the suite piece while still taking nights away (had to send them multiple reminders to get suite night back), and still, you give a dark room in basement with a noisy bar outside. Pathetic service and no care or concern for guests. They checked the box by even emailing us jn advance asking if we would like anything jn our rooms so they can have it ready. I asked for foam pillows. Ofcourse those were not there so at this point, I emailed the same hotel staff back to point this out to them. No response!! This is a motel 6 from US at best. There is mold in bathrooms and you will get sick if sensitive to mold or allergies. Stay away.

Room on the mezzanine floor. 016. Booked well in advance and expecting a great room in a great hotel for 665 pounds per night. What I got is a room that you give to people you don’t like, a window facing a wall with piping and emissions from the HVAC system. The air conditioning is not well maintained, it’s indicating that the filter needs to be cleaned. This is not only poor maintenance maintenance, but also something that can easily cause health issues if not done for a long time. We all can imagine what accumulates in such filters And what happens then. This is a complete rip off, for sure at this price point, there is loads of hotels, offering way better service, fantastic rooms, and everything you would expect from a hotel that belongs to Marriott. Unfortunately, this wrong and this hotel is completely the opposite.
