Maggy from the restaurant was super duper nice and friendly. Even though we ordered breakfast to go, she provided excellent service. I was carry my 1.5 yo daughter so when the to go food was ready, with 2 cups of coffee (which she put on a cupboard tray), she offered to carry it to the elevator for me, which made my day. Another person I had great service with is the dude from the pool area. There was this cool guy dressed is green sweatsuit with lots of gold rings and jewelry. Tall guy with lots of good vibes. Even though me and my daughter were just walking around the pool area, he came around with a donut float and was entertaining my kid. My kid had such a good time with his entertainment. This really made my day as well. The rooms were very nicely designed and we got the 1 bedroom corner unit that had amazing views of the Empire State Building and Chrysler building. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the front desk staff were all friendly and professional as well, so is the bell man which was handling our luggage. Overall, we loved the vibe and would be back again.

This was a great hotel as a single person traveling. The rooms were really nice and the view was incredible. Also, you cannot beat the location. I’ve lived in New York and this is extremely well oriented and within walking distance to many attractions I would 100% stay here again. My only complaint is the elevator situation which could be kind of annoying to access, but I’m glad they have an added layer security.

Great location, with nice rooms with amazing views. Hotel is a little older but the staff make up for its shortcomings. Amber at the front desk was just the best. She was kind and so helpful with getting our bags stored before we could check in.

Be wary of how the hotel is advertised on its website. Despite its rating as a 5 star hotel and as family friendly, I think the hotel is neither one of those. Kids are not allowed in various parts of the hotel (sky lounge and pool after 12pm). I understand that, but the hotel website advertises as a family friendly hotel. That’s obviously not true if kids aren’t allowed to use the hotel amenities, and even during family hours, there are people smoking weed by the pool right next to the lounge chairs. Clearly they are not running the place as family friendly. Also, there are a few problems with the hotel itself. It seems only 2 of the 6 elevators are working at any point, which leads to long wait times anytime you need to use the elevators. There was also exposed wiring in the bathroom of our room, which already wasn’t clean. Various fixtures also just didn’t work like the bedside charger, and broken bathroom door. There are plenty of scuffs marks all over the walls in the hallways and room. All of these details add up to an overpriced, over-hyped stay. The only two things that went right for me: management was empathetic to my complaints on the unwelcoming atmosphere to kids, and the location close to Madison Square Park is great.

The hotel itself is beautiful, with spacious rooms and a stylish rooftop pool. However, be aware that pool access is limited to a 3-hour window in the morning. After 11am, it's 21+ only, and there’s an additional charge—something that wasn’t clearly communicated at booking. Unfortunately, several incidents during our stay impacted our experience: 1. On our first night, a staff member entered our room unannounced while I was undressed, claiming they needed to retrieve something they had left behind. This was a serious breach of privacy. 2. We found hairs on the shower walls, raising concerns about cleanliness. 3. Restaurant service was slow and disorganized. 3. Despite arriving before another guest and putting my name down for a table of the same size, they were seated before us without explanation. 4. Noise levels were excessive. A rooftop pool party took place during our stay, and even though our room was seven floors away, the music was extremely loud and disrupted our rest. While the hotel has great potential and some appealing features, these issues significantly detracted from our overall experience. I hope management takes steps to address them for future guests.
